Bit of a scare this morning - power went out in my house about 5 in the morning. Nothing like waking up without air! Friends suggest I get an Uninterruptible Power Supply - seem to be several available online, not too expensive. Probably a good idea; I'll order one later this week.

Battery Geek also makes a very nice battery pack, but it it isn't cheap.
There is also this competitor:

I know there have been instances in the past we have lost power for over a week at a time, usually caused by ice storms. Thankfully I haven't had to go days without electricity since being on my machine, but have went several hours in the night without power -- hence no machine.

At the present time I don't have any type of back-up power. I am home alone often, since hubby is works out of town making equipment runs all over the US. Marine batteries sound too heavy for me to lug on, generators complicated, and so when I do go for back up power probably will get a battery pack made for my machine for ease of use.
That Owell Industries battery looks to be identical to the Battery Geek battery, right down to the typography of the battery life chart in the ad. The only difference in that picture of the battery that I can see is the logo on the bag.
The TV news is reporting about 9.000 residences without power right now in the DC area.

It looks like the inside of a cheap snow globe outside right now. It is windier (gusts up to 50 MPH) than it was during the last snow, and power is going out all over. The snow we got last weekend was not considered to be a blizzard, this snow is officially a blizzard.

The news guys are saying that we have gotten "several inches" of snow so far and that this winter will be officially the snowiest winter ever in DC.

That's probably why their description begins with:

From the makers of the Battery Geek Super CPAP battery, this amazingly small, lightweight, powerful Lithium-Ion battery offers superior capacity at a much better price. We went directly to the manufacturer to bring you the most bang for your buck.

:-)
Thanks, I didn't read any of the text, I just looked at the pictures ;)
This site says it will not work with the RESMED M series..which is what I own..so what are the alternatives?
