Probably no more than a few seconds - with a nasal mask, it's a pretty complete cutoff of air, and that wakes you up FAST.

I guess folks on vents would have generators in place. A generator sounds like the easiest fix for me. I understand there are some that run on natural gas.

We have Dr. Thomas Spawn in Indy. His family has produced a long line of excellent ENTs. 4 generations of my family have been treated by a Dr. Spawn.
Thanks for all the information.. It has been 3 weeks discontinuing Ammbien. Doctor has now prescribed a antidepressant (Doxeprin) and Rozerem (Meletonin) My intention is this will work. Therapy also works.
