got this fact pattern/ set of questions from a member:

Nine years of chronic fatigue, shortness of breath, leg muscle cramps, sleep pattern a series of interruped naps of 2 hours or less duration. Single miraculous day last month, symptom free! Significance? Repeatable? Cause?

Not much to go on . I hope it's repeatable. Does this person attribute this miraculous day to anything they've been doing?
This person also posted a more full explanation of symptoms at apneasupport or cpaptalk. I forget which. I think apneasupport. Another symptom mentioned was sudden body hair loss, nocturia, and I forget what else. A thorough thyroid check and an in-lab sleep study seemed in order to me and I suggested as such.
Here's the post from apneasupport:

"Quite sudden onset nine years ago marked breathlessness, chronic fatigue, leg cramps principally at night, sleep disturbance (sequential naps really of up to 2 hours each), gastric reflux, sudden loss of body hair, sudden decrease in libido, heart ok, lungs ok, frequent urination. Good red blood count, but when raised to 12.4 with darbopoetin, marked improvement which has faded over time. BUT..one day last month for no discernible reason, most symptoms disappeared, and I experienced a day of 10 years ago. Not repeated unfortunately. Dr. suspects sleep apnea, ordered sleep test, thinks good day was a function of an unexplained good night. Low respiration rate, shallow. Had a single experience of awakening unable to breathe. Jumped up and down in panic, resumed breathing (of course). Skeptical that unexplained 'good' night sleep accounted for my miracle day."

My reply:
"Sudden loss of body hair? Anyone bother to run thyroid blood tests, thyroid antibody tests, doppler ultrasound of the thyroid and neck?? And - go ahead, have the sleep test as well.

Two prime suspects. Thyroid and apnea."
activity and moods play a part in how you feel
if you are doing something you like you do not notice problem
a boy or girl playing happily forget to go to the little room because of the activity
when bored its every two minutes
ok, i didn't know how to get back to him/ her. he/ she just asked the question, but didn't leave me a way to ask more info/ get back in touch.
