Mike,
This is an interesting question but, how about setting up a survey monkey? They're free and you can make it anonymous. I don't how many people really want to tell everyone what meds they take.

I don't always use sleep meds, but when I do I prefer melatonin. Stay sleepy, my friends.Ha ha.. LOVE it.. I can see your " manly image" from the commercial..lol. There is something in bananasthat makes you sleepy.. I have used it with all my kids and myself as well...nice hot candle lit bubble bathand if you drink add a small glass wine..would do trick as well.
A couple of aceteminophen tabs (Tylenol) takes the "edge" off to help me fall asleep. I don't do it often, but it seems a safe way to help me get to sleep for the occasional times I need it.
Warm milk, melatonin, calcium supplements all work, too. A bit of exercise during the day helps, like a walk for 20 minutes or so. Of course the best way to fall asleep is to get up early the morning before and stay awake all day. Might not work the first night, but after a day or two you'll fall asleep for sure!
I take Seroquel XR at night for another condition, but it helps me sleep as well.
Even though I'm on a lot of meds, I sleep best when I have had exercise during the day and no naps.
I have tried all the Rx sleeping pills, OTC pills, and NOTHING works.I wake up about every 1.5 - 2 hours. EVERY once in a while, melatonin and l theanine and GABA will help me sleep maybe 3-4 hours, but this is such a rare thing that I am so thankful when it does.
Maddening is what it is! But, it is one of those things that has become "normal" in a malfunctioning sort of way!
