Today someone asked me (seriously) whether a Darth Vader style CPAP mask exists. I said i don't think so, but that i don't see any reason why we couldn't have such a mask made. Would be kind of cool. Would crack me up. Anyone else with me on this one?

I am a huge star wars fan, so I say hell yeah
I'm in, it would crack me up too , it would be refreshing to have a laugh at the situ, but I don't think the little doggy Blackie would like it. Maybe we can come up with animal face masks. lol
Would a full 'chamber' actually work? Kind of something like michael jackson had in the 80s? Or would what's needed end up exploding your eyes and brain?

Michael Jackson's Oxygen chamber:

An oxygen chamber will help you get oxygen. A chamber will not help your apnea. The atmospheric change needs to take place inside your nose, mouth, or both.

Darth Vader mask would be pretty tough for a side-sleeper, don't you think?
I would think most any full face mask (not the hybrid type) painted black would look pretty DarthVader-ish, but then I've never been a StarWars fan or follower. I've never seen any of the StarWars movies. But then, neither was I a Trek-ie, nor years ago a Buck Rogers fan. I preffered the Saturday matinee "oaters" and was really ticked off when they would run a Buck Rogers serial.
so funny, when I first wrote this post, i thought of little Blackie too and how we wouldn't be doing much for the chihuahuas of cpap owners out there by indulging in this bit of humor with our masks. lol.

That would be totally cool. I can't imagine the price to get it made, but it'll be totally worth it!
LOL if we could only get Lucas to give permission... maybe if he gets dx with sleep apnea someday. I'd totally buy that if it was a nasal pillow mask. Come to think of it, I think it kind of looked like a nasal pillow thing when he took his helmet off in Return of the Jedi...

Then again I was one of the people who was REALLY disappointed when this turned out to be an april fool's joke:

Amot1973, your recollection serves you well. Vader did indeed have a nasal pillows style thing going on when he removed his helmet in Return of the Jedi:
