I like to sleep shirtless when i sleep, but i've found that the C-Pap tubing is very cold and irritating when it rubs up against my chest. anyone in the same boat and use a snuggle hose or some other covering on the tube and does it work to solve this problem?

I use a hose huggie and bought it originally for rainout, but mine is made of a really nice soft fleece and it doesn't bother me in the slightest, I have no skin irritation or anything from using it. Most of the time I can't even tell the hose is on me.
Yep. I always had to sleep with my hose up over my head, but now that I finally got the snuggle hose (for rainout) I actually have the option of having my hose down and it's not so uncomfortable (and doesn't leave weird ribbed marks on me, I tell ya, there was a moment of panic the first morning I saw that in the mirror!)
A snuggle hose cover would prevent the discomfort for you. You can make one yourself or purchase one from our host www.apnealife.com.

If you chose to make one yourself, get some fleece, cut into strips and sew up the side seam. Easy to do.
my wife would not have been able to tolerate her cpap without the snuggle hose. for some people it makes all the difference.

I made a snuggle hose out of satin, doubled the satin so it would be insulating enough for the rainout, and soft and thin enough to move under the covers, I love it. It matches my padacheek mask cover, of course!
Try a shirt for a few days. I split mine down the chest and in the arms for a good fit. It lets me feed the hose into the bottom of my mask with some velcro on the front of the shirt which works well for a full face mask.

I slept nude for 40 years and put the macho away when I put on the mask. Your wife will still love you.

As a man just do what needs to be done to make you happy. Build things, measure things, make drawings, but for gods sake don't say a cold hose bothers you. Fix it and then make it camo with a magic marker...Go away..I love you man!
