I have been cured for my sleep apnea for about 2 months now. I've just been on a 3 weeks’ vacation, and of course it has been wonderful to be free from my CPAP mask.

As a sleep apnea patient you have much focus on the quality of sleep, especially I think those who are members of this forum. I am sure that I will also have much focus on this in the future. Incidentally, I have an agreement for a sleep study every two years.

Today I sleep really well, but I still have a few nights where I have had some problems. I think this is quite normal with people without sleep apnea, but I am much more aware about this now.

Actually, I think that in some situations it may be advantageous to use CPAP (provided good compliance).

So I am still working on achieving good sleep hygiene. This can be difficult - for instance to go to bed at the same time every night.

Actually, I think it's more important how you wake up. Most of us wake up when the alarm goes off. I have observed that I am most rested when I wake up naturally, even though I have not slept for the 8 hours I normally do.

So I have considered buying a Bio-alarm clock similar to this:

Does anyone have experience with this?

I think I'll stick with my machine..
It was not meant as an alternative to CPAP.

But I am sure that good sleep hygiene is good for both apnea patients and non-apnea patients.

search myzeo.com......it works
It looks interesting.

Here you can also analyze your sleep pattern. I cannot judge how accurate this analysis is. I will consider it.

The most important thing for me is waking up to the right time in my sleeping patterns.

the ZEO has a feature were it will wake you when you are in light sleep...as opposed to REM and deep.....if you set your alarm it will wait to go off till you are in light sleep.....it actually works too...ive been usng it for over three months....
A bit pricey it seems to me.

I think for the time being I will stick to my good old clock radio.

It does the job of getting me up and ready for work without too much trouble.
Just out of cuiosity, what was the cure? I was under the impression that a cure did not exist, but it might abate. Not having to haul the machine out of town, whether by car or plane, would be heaven. Thanks
