Is it worse for those of us with sleep apnea then those without when we don't get enough sleep?

I was in a job as a route driver where I was only getting about 5 hours of sleep maybe 6 a night if I was lucky. Now I believe that with or without sleep apnea that it is important to get enough sleep. So my question is this, Is it worse for those of us with sleep apnea then those without when we don't get enough sleep? Long story short I ended up quitting after I started to doze off more then once at the wheel and my boss could do nothing to help me about the hours I had been putting in, about 15 to 17 hour days. As I do not want to kill anyone and I don't want to die for a pay check I had left the job. For what I had went through, I found it harder to focus or make dissisions while I was going through that, what a differance it makes having the right amount of sleep !

I believe that it is worse for people with apnea that don't get enough sleep. the reason for this is that with apnea not only are you losing sleep you are also losing oxygen.
