In Memoriam Dave Hargett

It is with sadness that we report that SleepGuide member and friend Dave Hargett passed away on Aug. 22, 2010. He was 61. 

Dave Hargett served as Chairman of the Board of the American Sleep Apnea Association from 2004 to 2009, and served on the Association's Board since 2002.  Dave coordinated two AWAKE groups near his home in Illinois, and also served as the "Public Member" of the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).  He was a passionate advocate for the Sleep Apnea patient whom SleepGuide will sorely miss.

Diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea in 1994, Dave Hargett's sleep apnea was being treated with CPAP therapy.

Dave was a dedicated SleepGuide member and as was said above, a passionate and active advocate for the OSA patient My sympathy for his wife and family and his friends and fellow forum members..
