It seems like I am always clearing my throat, its not so much nasal as it is chest congestion, hoped it was just a frog, lol, but I wonder if its the humidifier on my cpap. seems worse with it.  I have a resmstar plus with flex, and a ultra mirage with a chin strap.  I feel congested.  I am not sick. Was just checked by my doc recently and lungs were clear, but didnt talk about this.  I will next visit.

it is important to keep all equipment clean including humidifiers

try washing CPAP in ordinary washing-up liquid and then follow up with a vinegar to disinfect allow to air dry and only use distilled water for humidification use on your CPAP

I do that.  But thanks for the advise.

Richard,  I'm glad you got checked out and know your lungs are clear.  something like You may want to try just passover humidity.  That means you have water in the humidifier, but do not turn it on.  Some people do better with little humidity.  Since you say you feel like you have to clear your throat often- I know you say it's not nasal, but do you think it could be something like postnasal drip?  That can give the sensation of something in the throat.
