How do I stop stomach pain and pressure from happening when using my cpap?

I started using a cpap about 3 monthes ago.  In the beginning I did not notice any stomach problems, but now it seems to be getting progressively worse.   When I do manage to use the machine thru the night I feel wonderfully refreshed and awake, something I haven't felt in years! Now, however, the pressure builds up in my stomach causing me to have severe cramping and I end up looking like I'm 5 monthes pregnant.  I end up awake even after only 1 or 2 hours on the machine trying to burp the air back up before it continues on thru my system causing further distress! What causes this to happen and how can I stop it?

see your doctor about reducing your pressure for now until it goes then see the doctor to increase to the original levels
I used a PAP and the a bi-level for 3 years before I started having problems w/aerophagia as we approached the higher pressures (IPAP15, EPAP 11). The nausea, bloating and upper gas got so bad it was necessary for me to stop using by bi-level all together for two months.

During that two months I used just my 2L of 02 overnight, took a Dexilant every morning, also, at first some Zofran for the nausea as well as amoxicillin daily for possible bacterial overgrowth (I have a high grade partial obstruction at an old resection site due to Crohn's disease). After finishng the 8 weeks of Dexilant, I took a Zantac AM & PM and started back on bi-level at 10/5 for two weeks. Then 11/6 for another 2 weeks. The first 3-4 days I always had some nausea and/or bloating that would eventually pass. Then it was 1 cm at a time for a week at a time, 12/7, 13/8 until I made it to 15/11 and the queasies and mild burping these past 3 days, hopefully ending by tomorrow.

Most likely your doctor will have you try something along these lines. Good luck and God bless!
Thank you for your reply. I will talk to my doctor about your suggestions. God bless you
