Hi,
Background:
I had been using a CPAP set at 6 (pressure) for 4 years. I have not been sleeping well the last year so I had a sleep study done earlier this year. The new study indicated a pressure of 7 would be better for me. (As an aside, I lost about 30 pounds the last year and a half, so I was surprised that my pressure has to go up.)
Machine and mask: ResMed Autoset II, Activa mask.
Month of June:
Settings: Resmed set as CPAP @ 7, EPR = 3
Result: Waking up tired in the morning.
I just got my report for last month. See attachment.
I need help with the Events chart. Do the numbers on the apnea indicates the number of seconds of the events ? Why are there no numbers associated with the hypopnea, like the apnea, on the events chart ?
Last few nights:
Settings: Resmed is now set as APAP (autoset), min=7, max = 9. EPR=off
Result: Waking up 4 or more times during the night. Tired in the morning. I have discomfort in the stomach in the morning.
I do not have the SW. So I have been writing down my readings manually.
Readings from Efficacy Data:
Day 1: Pressure=9, AHI=2.6, AI=1, HI=1.6
Day 2: Pressure=9, AHI=2.6, AI=0.5, HI=2.1
Day 3: Pressure=9, AHI=5.9, AI=2.2, HI=3.7
Any insights or suggestion on how to improve my sleep (less waking ups and less tired in the morning) would be much appreciated ?
Thank you in advance.
