My new Doctor does these in his office and I have never heard of this. It would be a second test for me. As I did my first at the sleep study office (all night) to get my original results.
I'm so tired and spaced out I feel as if I'm not getting any where. It's very difficult to get in to see the sleep Dr's here. Thanks for any answers. Valerierose

I have heard of split sleep studies, which squeeze two sleep studies (diagnosis and titration) into one night; but I have not heard of three hour sleep studies.

Thanks for all the replies, This is a new neurologist that I ended up seeing for another problem (carpal tunnel, right hand). I mention to him that it's very difficult for me to get into my pulmonary Dr. And he just started setting me up with different test, EEG and something else. And then mention his office does a three hour sleep study and I had never heard of that. It's all so new to me. Thanks for answering me. valerierose
