As strange as this may seem,  ginger root helps me feel alot better.  It is an anti-inflammatory and supposedly helps with circulation.  So although I havn't measured my oxygen levels, after ingesting it, I feel as if I am getting more oxygen into my system. I feel a little mentally sharper,  calmer, and a bit more cheerier in mood.   Also notice that my workouts can be  more vigorous.  I just take a little bit of non-crystalized ginger--one piece about the size of the end of my pinkie--before bed and in the morning.  I've been doing this for about one month now.  If I go off of it, I notice I don't feel as good.  But also notice if I increase the intake to 5-6 pieces, I get the opposite effect and feel lousy and depressed.  I really don't know what is going on with my body, but it does seem to help me improve my every day functioning.

You know Noah, I've been using "candied" ginger for my on/off sciatica issues for years...and it does work wonders. I get a flair-up, chew about 4 ounces of ginger and easily within 2 hrs the pain is way less, if not totally gone.
Well, now. I know ginger is good for an upset tummy. I went thru a LOT of it when my Crohn's disease was active and had me nauseous 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

BUT I had NO IDEA it has some anti-inflammatory properties too. I shall have to look into this. Thanks for the headsup, Noah and Walt.
I really liked Gilligan's Island as a kid. Ginger always made me fell better.
Ginger made me feel better too, however, Mary Ann rocked my world. Betty Rubble is another story

Seriously fresh ground Ginger root in Green Tea helps with general aches and pains and does decrease inflamation... VEGAN POWER!
