I bought the Encore Viewer software to read the smartcard for my RemStar Pro machine with Cflex. The question I want to ask is...Does the DME supplier determine what data will go on the card or does all the data automatically go on the card? I've been getting 0's for most data that has to do with Average obstructive Apnea Index, Hyponea index, snore index, and with the leak averages. It records my pressure just fine and all the compliance data. The way I'm feeling, these 0's don't make any sense. So, who decides what goes on the card?

I'm not aware of any option for the DME to turn off the ability of the smart card to record the full extent of the data that's capable of being recorded by the machine. So your 0s are very mysterious to me. More likely explanation is that you have a defective smart card. If I were you, i'd test this hypothesis by taking your card in/ sending your card to your DME to have them report back to you your AHI -- i.e., get a copy of the report they pull. If they have the same problem, you know your smart card is defective. Or do you have another spare smart card? if you do, you could record data for a night or two with it and see if you encounter the same problem.
The reader is not the same as a sleep study and works on vibrations. So it is possible for it to be reading 0 because you are either not having apneas or your events do not meet the program's criteria. If you are using yoru machine and you are still tired talk to your MD. You might have something else going on. Never just sit back. Be proactive and talk to your doctor.
I hope this uploads ok. Note on the last page it says that I've been spending less than 4 hours on the machine a night, which is totally not true. It did have a 4.0 leak rate....but on the day by day it always said 0 each day.

It is in the machine right because if you put it in wrong the machine beeps until you put it in right. This is why I'm worried about this data. My insurance company won't pay for my machine if I use it less than 4 hours a day. Oh well, maybe it is my card or the machine or maybe even my computer.
My humidifier doesn't have a button...just a dial

That's whacked. Are there any machine error codes? View the log. Hold the humidifier button and ramp button down while plugging in the power cord. Continue holding the buttons down until the unit beeps. The most recent error code will be displayed. Pressing the humidifier key will cycle through the error log, showing the last 10 errors (if present).

What model of CPAP do you have? Not all models record detailed data, some only record complience
Well, I have the same machine, and EncoreViewer...and, well, the results you're getting don't make sense to me....

FWIW, this is the kind of results that I get (in fact, I printed a copy of this report to give to my doctor at my last follow up)...

Hmmm, the vertical usage bars are black (instead of green)....the one time that happened on my report is when I hit the ramp button instead of the off button when I woke up. Noticed machine still going when I came back later to clean it (fortunately it happened on the weekend?)

Perhaps there's something wrong with the machine and its not sensing things correctly? I'd take it in to get checked out...

Wow...lots of info to look at there! I ordered a new card so I'm hoping that's the problem. If not, the machine is going back to my DME.

Do you think a look-see at her export (.xml file) would give you any useful information for future troubleshooting? Or does "Encore Viewer" even have export function?

I'm not sure if Encore Viewer has the export function?
Ya. I had tried that program to erase the card in a machine I had picked up in auction, but it would just instantly crash when I ran it. Had to find somebody with EncorePro to erase the card.

I had also thought that she could have used Phil's SmartCard Tool from myCPAP.org to reformat her Smartcard, but I couldn't get the tool (v1.06) to load.
