I'm 34 years old and was diagnosed with OSA in June 2009. My father has had sleep apnea for as long as I can remember without any therapy for it. He now has heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid problems and terrible arthritis; he is 65. I have been overweight all my life but knew my sleepiness had more to do with something other than my weight problem.
