Don't forget this upcoming meeting!  If you make only one meeting this year, make it this one!

Reminding You About this Wednesday, May 2d -- Licensed respiratory professionals from Classic SleepCare will be conducting a Mask Fit & Comfort Clinic at the May 2d Manhattan A.W.A.K.E. meeting. Classic SleepCare’s Executive Chairman, Rob Brough, will also be speaking at the meeting. Rob will explain why he believes CSC is different than other DME companies and will give an overview of Classic SleepCare’s CPAP Circle of Care[SM] Program…how it benefits both CPAP patients and their referring physicians.

Attendees of the meeting will also have the chance to win a free mask of your choice.

Using CPAP and suffer from mask fit and comfort problems?

The truth is that too many sleep apnea patients never fully enjoy the benefits of their therapy because they give up too soon. Around 50% of those problems are associated with mask fit and comfort, which in most cases can be solved by help from a trained professional.

You should definitely take the time to attend the clinic if:

◦ - you are suffering from a skin irritation or you have pressure sores from using your mask
◦ - your mask does not fit properly
◦ - your mask leaks causing you to wake up interrupting what would have otherwise been a good nights sleep
◦ - you wake up suffering from a runny or dry nose, nose bleeds or dry mouth
◦ - you have a claustrophobic feeling when wearing your mask or wake up feeling bloated
◦ - you suffer from any other mask fit or comfort issue.

Classic SleepCare will be showcasing all of the latest masks including: Respironics’ True Blue nasal mask and Go Life nasal pillows for Men & Woman; ResMed’s Mirage FX (Him & Her) nasal masks, Bella headgear for the SWIFT FX (Him & Her) and the Quattro FX full face mask. Plus many more.

We realize that everyone has different issues when using their CPAP as well as different sleep habits. Our goal through this clinic is to address your individual needs with a personalized solution that ensures you get a great nights sleep every night – without mask fit and comfort problems, so that you can wake up feeling rested ready for a new day.

It WAS awesome, wasn't it? Thanks Zollistar. Good seeing you there as usual.

Very good people ,Very good at what they do.

do you guys -- Chris, Zolistar and anyone else who attended -- think we should continue with more of a "hands-on" type experience of trying on masks/ dealing with machine issues, etc., or more of an "academic" approach with sleep physician/ expert lecture, followed by Q&A . . . or some combination of both?

My vote is for a combination of both.

Hi Mike, Their seems to be a lacking of basic understanding of how the machines function on a day to day basis. Knowing how to check your leakage for example.....indicates are you loosing pressure...so is your mask dirty ?Does your hose have a hole..ect What is your AHI and AI ?? Knowing these and looking at what you eat and the rest of your sleep hygene can give you realtime results of your actions and their effects on your quality of sleep . You do want to sleep good dont you?? Why wate 6 months for a down load .....you could be fubar by that time with the comorbidities that happen with non optimal treatment.  Learning gives choices otherwise unaware of ...So it is all good "academic and hands on" Good Sleep,Chris

I'd love a few really good explanations such as the ones Chris H recommends.

Not knowing anything, I took the machine that was issued to me 11 months ago. It's not data capable. I realize now that such a machine would help a great deal in terms of clarifying problems and issues.

Explanations of all the factors -- sleep hygiene, factors that affect (and afflict!) good sleep as well as the meanings of the reading numbers -- would be immensely useful and helpful to me and maybe to others.
