I would like to know the name of a chin strap and the company that makes a comfortable chin strap. I would like to be able to wear a mask that fits my nose instead of a full mask. I breath through my mouth at night. I tried a cheap little ditty that was about one inch wide and to get it tight enough to keep my mouth shout, it cut into my chin. very uncomfortable.
I saw a strap on the internet at snoringsolutionsite.com it cost $69.00. Is this a good price? has anyone used this one?
I need help.

I would NOT use this "As Seen on TV" "Snoring Solution"/treatment for sleep apnea -- this is an ad that was singled out for ridicule some posts back, not sure exactly where.... but the claim that a thing like this will treat sleep apnea is ridiculous

but to answer your question, I've heard some good things about the Respironics Premium Chinstrap, although I haven't used it myself, so i can't talk from first hand experience.
I have used one from pur-sleep.com here is the link to it: http://www.pur-sleep.com/products/products.asp?category=6
It has worked pretty good and was about $34 and will work with any mask that I have.

Respironics Premium Chinstrap and ResMed Sullivan Chinstrap seem to be the chin straps of choice for those who use chinstraps.
I would never use the chin strap as a cure for sleep apnea. I would use it with a nose mask. Thanks for your input.

Is the ResMed Sullivan Chinstrap new? Never heard of that one before.

The Sullivan Chinstrap is very old. the straps are quite narrow, which means it tends to slide off your head pretty easily. My favorite is the Respironics Premium, although the Pur-Sleep one sounds promising. Everybody's head is a little different, so sometimes you have to try on a few to find the one that is most stable for you. Also, be sure it isn't pulling your lowewr jaw back as it tries to close your jaw. Pulling the jaw back can make apnea worse.
i should try the Respironics Premium myself.
