Does anyone know how to change the air settings on a Rem Star pro2. I had my sleep apointment today and was told to change the settings from 9 to 11 but I can't seem to figure out how to change them. I know how to change heat settings and ramp settings but not the pressure setting.

Your sleep doctor should have FAXed the new pressure settings over to your local DME supplier who should make the pressure change for you.

I have a Resmed and don't remember how to access the Respironics clinical menu anymore. I know it is a PITA as compared to the Resmeds. You have to unplug, then plug back in and do some kind of button press and ....
one member of this forum, Jim Reis, seems to be a collector of sorts of all types of manuals. he can probably hook you up, or point you in the right direction. here's Jim's profile on this forum you can post a comment to his profile page, send him a PM, etc. to ask him for the manual.

also check out this link he provided : http://www.internetage.ws/cpapdata/manuals/

good luck!
I wonder WHY your doctor would tell YOU to reset your pressure to 9 cms w/o telling you how to do so?

In this instance I really didn't remember how to access the Clincians Menu on the Respironics. However, personally I am reluctant to provide a pdf of the Clinicians Manual or advice on how to access the Clincians Menu until I'm sure the person inquiring has educated themselves and has some idea of what they are doing. Too many new patients just can't wait to play w/their new "toy" before they have any idea of just what they are really doing. We see these people changing their pressure every night or when they don't have their leak rate under control yet.

Properly one should FIRST get their leak rate w/in acceptable limits and then if the data or their comfort suggest it make ONE CHANGE AT A TIME, whether mask, pressure, Ramp or EPR/C- or A-Flex settings, AND STAY AT THAT ONE CHANGE FOR ONE SOLID WEEK before analyzing their data and determining if another change is needed and if so which ONE change to make for the next WEEK.

Too high a leak rate can cause the xPAP to run up pressure higher than needed and possibly even higher than is safe. Too high a pressure can cause central apneas and if there is a bleb or weak spot on the lung(s) actually cause a pneumothorax. NOT fun and potentially life-threatening.
Hi Todd,

The service manual for the Rem Star Pro2 is at this link.
http://www.internetage.ws/cpapdata/manuals/remstar-pro-2-and-auto.pdf

It's a pdf but you should have a viewer available on your system.

If not here is a good reader: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/down_reader.htm

I made 3 screenshots of the relevant sections. Hope this helps.

If I can help in any way let me know,

Jim
