Can titration cause fatigue, irritability and feeling depressed?

I had a titration study about two weeks ago.  I went from a pressure of 13.5 to 8.

Can it take time to get adjusted to the new settings?  Is this normal?

I'm seeing a sleep dr next Thursday.

Thanks Much

I agree with j n k. we need more physicians to enable us to do our own titrations within guidelines he prescribes and educational classes. My sleep Doc's office if full of patients with their machines whenever I visit. Many of these people are military, young, and look to be easy to educate. I don't think this would necessarily cut into the doc's revenue. The sense of empowerment and involvement in your own treatment is invaluable and I'm sure would increase compliance and patient satisfaction. I know I would be happier if I had more control over my own treatment.
Madeline, I am glad you are seeing your sleep doc next Thursday. I'm sure you'll be prepared to tell him exactly what is going on with how you feel.

..the doc doesn't care how you feel at the new pressure, get a new doc or get permission to self-titrate according to how you feel. The doc should be able to give you a ceiling beneath which to work. At least, that is how some better-informed sleep docs are willing to approach the matter..
