If I google this I get hits on many articles from this week. I did not read the study but it sounds like an April's Fool to me.

There "might" be some validity to it, believe it or not. I doubt a "cure" but possibly a reduction in severity. It appears there may be some positive effect from the phospholipids in bananas. I wonder tho about weight gain w/a banana smoothie every night before bedtime. And since one must brush one's teeth FIRST and NOT AFTER, I'd also worry about tooth decay. The study used 130 g of banana. That would work out to 1-2 bananas a night.

I detest both the smell and the taste of bananas - except in banana nut bread - unless its been made w/too many or too ripe bananas.
i wouldn't want to have a banana smoothie before bedtime because it's like a straight shot of sugar to my system and would throw my glucose levels out of whack.

not so sure there isn't some legitimacy to the banana theory though. next thing you know we'll be questioning the validity of the all powerful didgeridoo too!
Giggle. Right on, Mike!!!
