In keeping with our dedication to the home medical equipment industry we offer cpap repair services that are unlike any other in the nation. All cpaps we repair are put through a thorough testing regimen which includes all pressure checks and ramping abilities. This testing utilizes equipment that analyzes real time performance of the unit and alerts our technical staff to any problems over an extended time line. By testing in this fashion we eliminate the possibility of intermittent failure and increase the reliability of the repair.
Our electronics department then checks the integrity of all printed circuit boards using a proprietary testing station developed in house by Accurate Biomed Services. i have several questions to ask
1 which cpap machie is the most reliable
2 which are the easiest and hardest to work on
3 what is the most like part to fail that is mtbf

A cpap has two major parts: a PC board and a blower. We are the largest Respironics repair center in the nation which would incline me to say Respironics would be our machine of choice. Resmed is built in Australia and they are somewhat harder to get serviced here in the states.
In order for me to answer responsibly would require me to now your specific diagnosis.I can say this however. The blower is a mechanical part that is subject to physical motion, and therefore would be the most likely to fail over a period of time.The PC board is somewhat inert and would be subject to excessive moisture or power deviations in order for it to be subject to a catastrophic failure.
We have the ability to work on both manufacturers units (having both the technical skills and calibration software) so ease of repair would be a toss up for us.

I am only familiar with etching in the manufacture of these components whereby two layers go through separate fab processes. Are you referring to the process of leveling the PCB surface with hot air?
