The best way to clean and dry you cpap tubing, mask . And has ant body use or seen the Hurrcane dryer?
What are some tips in cleaning your equipment and drying it. I use a mild soap hand wash and i dry all my equipment in my Hurracane dryer, ( not the unit ).

Wash in washing up liquid and then sterilise with vinigar and hang to dry
i have purchased a baby bottle steriliser plastic tub to soak the tubing in as it is a nice size for the tubing

I like the CPAP wipes too, for my mask when I first get up. I think this CPAPGuardian thing is fear mongering. When we start getting sick by the droves on this forum, I might consider something like that. I don't see it as an available product on the website, or any picture of it, so I cannot imagine how it works. We all know what the inside of our computer looks like, but I feel out XPAP machines are not in such a dust filled environment as many computers. Plus the design of the XPAP seems much more airtight. As long as we keep those air filters clean and our equipment fairly clean I think we're ok.

Why not hook your equipment up after cleaning it and pressing the power button. Just a thought. I saw the CPAP Guardian a while back. It looks like a miniature version of an ozone generator that we use to get cigarette smoke smell out of equipment after it has been in a smokers home.

My BiLevel machine will not run without me being hooked up. Besides, though it would be a great idea if we could just run air from the machine through the tubing to dry it, what would running your machine without you on it do to your numbers?

Hi Mary,
What type of machine do you use. Most have an auto off feature that can be turned off so the machine will run without having the back pressure. That is a great question about what it will do to your numbers. I pulled up one of my customers report that does that and at the end of every nights use there is a black line that shows the machine did not record that data. I use Encore anywhere but I assume that Encore Pro would be similar.

I use a ResMed VPAP Auto 25. Haven't seen anything about an auto off feature....I'll take another look at the settings menu.
