power is out
No CPAP for several nights here...A night without CPAP is a day with a headache. And I keep needing naps.
There is a generator being loaned around in the neighborhood and it's our turn, that's how I am online right now.
I sure hope the power goes on soon.

Power outages suck bad when you have sleep apnea especially. Although they suck for anyone when they go on so long! We had a 2 week outage the year FL got hit by like 5 hurricanes. I think it was Jeanne, or maybe Francis that knocked us out for so long. Anyway, we went over to my inlaws house to have fans and some electricity. They were both on cpap and so had gotten a generator for occasions like that. Luckily we haven't had such a bad outage since I've been on cpap myself, but when we have had short ones I just have to suck it up and deal with it. We really should get a generator now that both my husband and I have sleep apnea and cpap.

You may want to invest in a generator being in the area you are, but there are other alternatives also.
In the "Search SleepGuide" area of this page (top right of the page), type in “backup power sources”. There are numerous threads dealing with back up power supplies and sources.
Another tip you need to use is to notify your electric supplier that you use a medical breathing device that requires AC power. The supplier will note this on your account and will, by law, move you to the head of the list (along with all the others who have done this) in their efforts to restore electricity promptly.
