Off topic: Fatal accident
I know this is off topic, so please no lectures.
My son teaches school in a nearby district that has a high population of Hispanic students. Many of these students are quiet and reserved and he enjoys having them in his classroom.
Last week, one of his student's was killed in a car accident near Waco, Texas. She was 9 years old and in the third grade. The family was going to visit relatives for the holidays when the wreck occurred. Some of the other family members were severely injured and are in the hospital, including her little sister.
Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers, along with my son as he is devasted that this happened.

we are saddend to hear of the fatal accident and it is unique to the persons involved and can be quite devistating
this is where loving families come to the rescue and give support because it is not natural to die and we get emotionally involved

Carol, I left you a PM about this. Please tell your son my thoughts and prayers are with him and with his students as they try to cope during such a devastating time. A 9-year-old child's death is a terrible loss in any event. She'll never have a chance to live out her life and fulfill her destiny. I can understand why your son is so upset. I'm sure you are as well, on his behalf.
