how should we identify ourselves as people with sleep apnea/ those of us who use CPAP? Hoseheads? Apneans? PAPers?

People with Sleep Apnea seems like such a mouthful. Any ideas?

apniacs- "rhimes" with maniacs
If I would get off my lazy butt and finish the rough drafting of the 3 winning bumper stickers, they would be finished, but I still have one to do.

I may write that down on my things to do over this coming weekend.

I have been referring to myself as a hosehead. Of course there are those that have no idea of what I am talking about if they aren't a fellow hosehead.

I still like the idea of a bumper sticker or T-shirt to bring awareness to OSA/CSA. I know it was discussed at one point, any follow up on that thread?
Not any easier but how about "unconscious asphyxiators" ???
Hello Mike,

“Apneans” would be my pick . . . it’s has a good feel to it and it carries a sense of tradition from the Greek period.

Also, “PAPers” sounds lively – but, I think, loses its identity to Dr. Pepper – and we, surely, don’t want to share our identity !

How about "Frogmen"
How about the Breathless?

Then we can be further identified as "Breathless in Seattle" and other locals.

So, I am Breathless in Idaho
i like apnean but of course no one would know what that was and then we would still have to say we use the c-pap machine...

I would suggest something positive and something that raises questions.

eg "CPAP Power"
or "CPAP Powered"
