Is there a way to let others know that you have sleep apnea when you can't?

I was diagnosed with OSA the end of May of this year. After the recent discussion about what to do if you have sleep apnea and you are having a procedure done. I was wondering if there is a medic alert bracelet or some way to let EMT's or someone else that you have sleep apnea if you are in an accident or something happens to you where you aren't able to communicate?

Good question. I know from firsthand experience that the American Sleep Apnea Association gives a medic alert bracelet for Sleep Apnea to folks that join the ASAA: http://sleepapnea.org/support/join.html
Thank you so much for the quick reply.
I have a Medic Alert dog tag that says "sleep apnea, uses CPAP". Medical personnel can call Medic Alert and get my pressure and Dr's name and phone number.
I heard on the news just this past week that those that wear some type of medic alert are opting to have it tattooed on them. I didn't catch where exactly, but it would have to be somewhere where medical persons would know to look. They were cautioning those with certain conditions such as diabetes to talk with their doctor before having this procedure done.
when you have a cpap you can join the club and they will issuse you with a card
Lois, I'm glad you posed this question. I've been thinking a lot about this lately, too. I have heart disease as well, and I'm rebelling against the notion of having to wear TWO medic alerts. I DO think it's critically important though, so I need to shut up and just do something.....
