I don't know if or when you may be on here again, but wanted to give you a heads up re: DMEs

1. Check out the Discussion by Christine re: "Frustrated with DME and doctors"---a typical c/o heard on SG--unbelievable. I'm so lucky to have you.....

2. A woman who's been active on here recently emailed me tonight to say she was quitting SG and quitting CPAP treatment because her DME is so bad, and today she drove 75 miles to get help with a faulty mask and he refused to help her. This was after her insurance co. assured her that they would pay for anything she needs. They also called the DME and told him the same thing. It didn't matter. I'm just sick about this woman. She's a really good person and was trying hard to stick with treatment. Now I can't even reach her. Fuckers.....

3. One of the sleep techs on SG, Rock Hinkle, who lives in Indianapolis and works at Methodist in a sleep lab--today asked me who my DME is. I've talked about you (not by name) so much here that a lot of people know about the service I'm getting from you. Anyway, Rock asked for your name so he could talk with you about referring his patients to you. He apparently doesn't like the DMEs he's been using either, and wants to talk with you.

Point is, is it okay if I give him your name? He'll know you're on SG if I do. He wouldn't say anything 'cause he's one of the movers and shakers on here and would never betray a confidence. But I don't want to tell him without your permission. He gets that totally. He's a good guy and totally devoted to apnea dx and care.

So........those 3 things are what I wanted to tell you--two of them to help you understand even better what tremendous care you provide.....I'm very grateful, and I'm sure all your clients are too......and the 3rd, I just need your feedback/permission about. I would have asked you today on the phone, but I didn't want to keep you when you're so busy right now.
