My My, the proverbial small world. My husband Paul will love to read this entry about your ancestral find in Beaufort. What is the name of the restaurant where your grandson is Chef. My friend, Ann whom I live with when I work in Beaufort is a trained chef and importer of Greek Olive oil. We'd be happy to give him some. What is his contact information . I wiill look up the info about my mask ect. tomorrow. I am headed for bed right now as we are getting up early to take a friend to the airport. She is flying back to the ice encased Louisville KY. I don't think that I have even seen the Respironics Simplicity as a choice. I will check into it when I get back to Sylva. It is very wet and cool here tonight and the Spanish Moss is hanging low and heavy with water. I love it. I teach basic observational drawing and use strands of moss an an introduction to biological drawing. It is interesting to google the uses of Spanish Moss. More later, Melba

Its a small world! My grandson is second Chef at a white cloth restuarant in Beaufort, SC!! I'm 66. I was started on CPAP therapy in Oct 06 and was switched to a bi-level in March 08.

What brand and model CPAP are you using? I was started w/a Resmed S8 Elite w/EPR and am now using a Resmed VPAP Auto.

What nasal cushion mask are you using? I'm using the old Respironics Simplicity simple nasal cushion. It fits a little lower on the nose instead of sitting on the bridge and I've learned to love it. No leaks. Except thru my mouth so am using the cheapest Respironics White Chin Strap, PN 302175 and it works great. Not much to the Simplicity or the 302175, both lightweight and small. They work for me.

I also have the ResScan software and cable reader and enjoy checking my data every morning and watch it coincide w/how good I feel when I get up. Eh, its interesting!

I was fascinated w/Spanish Moss when I was in Beaufort. It wasn't at all what I expected! I'm into genealogy and was fascinated to find that a brother of one of my direct ancestors was buried at the National Cemetery in Beaufort and I was able to visit his grave. He was Quaker and slipped out the window one night to join the Union Army and was killed at Lighthouse Creek on Morris Island in a skirmish. He was only 23 years old. His mother died w/in a year of his death and his father shortly after.

Thanks for the information on the origin of the Melba name. My grandmother was an ITTER and of German origin. I'm not exactly sure of where as I've only traced the family back to 1835 Ontario, Canada but there is an ITTER castle in Hesse or Hessen and the previous generation was listed as born in Germany.
