Donna, glad to hear it's going well. With the mask leak problem be careful not to get the straps too tight. Too tight can be as bad as too loose. Keep up the good work. Thanks for your kind words.
Donna, you should do fine with the CPAP. I find it much more comfortable with the steady pressure than the auto with the changing pressures. If you have any trouble start a new discussion, or write to me and we'll see if we can help. Good luck.
As a fellow member of the forum and on behalf of the SleepGuide Crew I would like to welcome you to SleepGuide.
There is a wealth of information on the site, starting with the FAQ, a search feature, videos and articles all of which can be reached from the main page.
Please feel free to reply to discussions or start a new discussion for comments, suggestions and questions. You never know when your post may help someone else.
We come from all over the world and range from the yet to be diagnosed and newbie, to those who have been using the machine for many years, and Sleep Professionals. Also up for discussion and always of interest are comments/ questions about alternatives to CPAP (including Bilevel, AUTO, and ASV), such as dental devices, surgery, Provent, and the electrical implant under study.
The "What's on Your Mind?" feature is meant for a quick rant or comment, not for questions you want feedback for. Please start a new discussion if you need feedback.
We are here to support each other as we navigate the world of Sleep Disordered Breathing, Sleep Doctors, DMES, Sleep Centers and anything associated. We do have a number of Sleep Professionals on the forum whose input we value.
