My Interest in Sleep Apnea
I have Sleep Apnea
Treatment Being Used, if any
Auto-Adjusting CPAP
If Machine Being Used, What Type? (e.g., Respironics M Series with A-Flex Auto-Adjusting CPAP)
My problem is that my machine does not heat up to give me a mist. Sometimes during the night i start feeling water dripping on my face. I have dumped up to 2tbs of water out of the tube. My nose stops up all the time so i keep waking up during the night to unblock it.

The humidifier doesn't provide a mist as such. Its function is add moisture in the air by having the water blow over the top of the water and the air picks up what it will hold. When heated, the air can pick up slightly more water vapor, but I have never heard of anyone getting a mist.

The water that collects in your hose, mask is very typical and is called rainout. Many that use humidifiers find they have this problem. It is caused when the moisture laden air is cooled in the hose and the vapor condenses inside the hose.

Cover your hose with a hose cover, can be purchased from www.apnealife.com or one of the other sites. Lower your machine lower than your mattress, may help. Try turning down the humdifier some. You can also purchase a heated hose, but they are expensive and insurance does not cover them.

Good luck and hope the suggestions helps.
