- pinpointing the location of the obstruction is critical. it will determine whether you are a good candidate for cpap, a dental device or surgery. you might seek out a board certified sleep specialist in your area and discuss this point with them.

- I was diagnosed with sleep apnea a couple of years ago. I have tried three different masks and can not make them work. I think I have slept 17 minutes with the CPAP. I use nasonex and breathe right strips and sleep in a recliner. I am thinking about trying the cpap again. No physician has ever really discussed sleep apnea with me. I have no idea where any blockage might be.

How long have you been on cpap?
