At some point during recovery, yes, you are going to have to go the smoothie/shake route to get vitamins and calories (they're also just great when you want to eat something quick without having to blenderize it first.) There are many varieties out there, and I suggest you try a bunch BEFORE the surgery to determine which oncse you like BEFORE you end up with a case of Eww-gross-this-tastes-like-A**! Grab your SO and make it a date. Candles. Wine glasses. Protein shakes. We had one of those wine tasting buckets to dump our extras into when we were done tasting a flavor. :)
