Looking at their ad, it does not say how long it is, but states "telescoping", with an additional photo below, next to the lemon floral water that is supposed to go with it. It seems that the lighter blue part is some sort of sponge material, and not soft fabric material, so I'm not sure how much help it would be with drying out the inner tube, or whether it would work well with your own water and soap. Looks like you have to do one half of tube at a time; probably only long enough for half of tube.
Looking at the "Lemon Zzzip" spray that goes with it, it seems to be a system for not using soap and water. It may be a nice mild lemon scent if that appeals to you. I see this as belonging to a "comfort" category, appealing to some, but not necessary. Value would depend on number of uses from devise and spray, along with personal preference for scent and process involved. Might be good for removing soap and hard water residue from hose (after washing hose the regular way), if that bothers you.
Retail cost of new hoses is less than this system, so that might be a consideration. Still, I like to maximize use of products, less landfill. Anyone know if hoses are recyclable material?
I think you're right about the cost of a new hose being minimal. but the environmental impact is a consideration for sure. personally, i never clean the hose and replace them every 5-6 months or so. is that gross? i know that insurance reimbursement often allows for shorter replacement periods.
