I have been sleeping with my old pillow for a very long time until one day in a hilton, when I found that pillow is really really comfortable. Could you fellows give me some suggestions about which pillow to choose? cuz I didn't remember the brand name of the pillow I slept that night, I have search on the night and found two articals about two brands, and I am wondering if one of them was the pillow I slept that night.

Or could someone recommend some else brand for me? Cuz I think a good pillow means a lot to me, THX!

My own personal preference is for a down pillow. They are soft and can be punched and scrunched into any shape needed to accomodate my mask and my comfort.

Some like a buckwheat hull pillow. If found them too "loud" for sleeping. And not so soft and comfy as my down pillow.

Many like the PAPillow shaped to allow for your mask at each end and for your neck and/or shoulder in the center. I found it comfortable but a little too thick for me and so back to my down pillow again.

Down pillows are NOT a particularly good choice for those w/allergies or maybe even asthma.
Thanks! Could you recommend a brand name of down pillow? because there are also so many firms that sell down pillow, how about pacific coast? Sorry I am freshman in this industry.

I got mine at Hudson's and at J C Penney's during the semi-annual White Sales. At the time they usually ran $100 each but during the White Sales were 2 for $100. That was quite a few years ago tho. All of our pillows are down now. And the nice thing is that hubby likes a thicker pillow than I do but we can get extra down in some of our pillows by taking them to the dry cleaners and having extra down put in.

Personally, I don't like my down pillows dry cleaned. I usually wash them in the gentle cycle and cold water w/a cold water soap such as Wool-ite. They smell and feel fresher and cleaner. I keep an old, clean tennis shoe to throw in the clothes dryer w/them to keep the down from clumping and again use the gentle, cool cycle.

I grew up in a single parent household and money was limited but we were able to dress well. This was in the day of dyed to match skirts and sweaters. We washed them in cold water and Wool-ite. I guess that is when I developed my aversion to the smell and yecky feel of dry-cleaned clothes. YECH!
I liked the buckwheat hulled pillow with a lot ot the hulls removed when I was sleeping on my side. It could be put in one position and stay there.

Its funny, off topic, but funny. I used to have my parents old down pillows and wonded why I always woke up with a headache. Who knows what was growing in those pillows after 25 years!

Washing them in Wool-ite or other cold water soap would have done wonders for them!!! I still have one of my mother's old down pillows. LOVE it. I've replaced the pillow ticking on it once.
I use also use a down pillow, the one I am using right now I got from amazon.com.
