I recently went from 13 to 15 on my CPAP pressure, which the sleep tech said was kind of high. I was just wondering what the average is. What's yours?

About 80% of the patients I see have pressures in the 8 - 10 cmH2O range.

Daniel, PLEASE, go to the Headaches thread!!!! We need HELP!
My BPAP ranges from 14 to 20 which I think might be more common here than the thread is showing so far.

Just my impression, I could be wrong.
I'm a newbie here and with my BiPAP machine. My "sleep number" is 20, and I had no idea if it was very high or not! I guess it must be. I know that, once my machine ramps up, it just about blows the mask off my face. I'm not getting used to it very quickly, and I get a lot of air releasing around the edges, which gets steadily worse as the night progresses. I imagine it might be harder to handle those sorts of problems the more intense the blow is. I find it very stressful and, rather than sleeping poorly for 8 hours, I now sleep somewhat well for 4 hours and spend about 4 hours wide awake and wrestling with a mask that doesn't want to stay in place!
Wincey,

Welcome to the forum.

What make of BPAP machine? What make of mask are you using?
