Greetings Fellow Forum Members

Is the purchase of a used ResMed VPAP Auto 25 a good move?

Also what are the data capabilities of this machine? Will I be able to easily transfer data to my PC?

Thanks One and All

Tom, this is the machine I have.  It will operate in CPAP, Spontaneous (BiPAP), and AUTO modes.  The data it gives via lcd screen are Tidal Volume, respirations, minute volume, pressure, AHI and AI, and leak, The data is easily accessible via the ResScan software, but you need the card reader or the direct machine to USB cable.  These are only available in AU now at $100 +.  I have the machine to USB connector I would sell for $60 if you wanted it.  I just don't use the software.  I am very pleased with the machine.  The clinical menu is easy to access and changes to settings easy to make.

Hi Tom, Is the machine from a private individual? Has it got many hours on it? Does it have to be shipped far to get to you? Is their a guarantee  ? , Good Sleep,Chris

Thanks Mary. You've educated me in the past so the first thing I do every morning is check my stats, especially AHI. But I find that if my AHI is creeping up over 5 I have no idea why and if I had an S9 I could look a the data for some insight. Do you have anymore information on that VPAP to USB connector you mentioned?

Best, Tom

The little port on the back of the machine where you insert the data card comes off (little plastic square) revealing an interface where you plug in the machine to USB cable.  The software then recognizes the machine and reads the data.  If you're interested in mine send me a message.  I guess I've used it less than ten times.  The data I get from the machine is plenty for me.  If your AHI continues to trend upwards you may need a slight adjustment in pressure, but I'm sure many other things can cause an increased AHI.  Mine is high and my doc believes it is the result of meds I take.

How are you feeling?

If that cable will work with a VPAP S I'd definitely be interested. My AHI keeps creeping up and being able to look at a night's data might help me figure out what's going on.

Best, Tom

What kind of connector do you have on the back?  There are some that come with a nine pin male connector. If you have the one where there is a little plastic box with a slot for the data card (the skinny card) and the box comes off and there is a male computer type of hardware adaptor this is the right connector.  I'll send you a private message about the connector.
