Training yourself NOT to breathe through your mouth

I have been a mouth breather for as long as I can remember but only at night when I sleep.  I don't have any nasal or sinus problems.  I think it just became a habit when I had asthma as a child, which I no longer have.  This obviously became a problem when I started cpap therapy and wanted the least invasive and most comfortable nasal pillow mask.  I didn't do well with a chin strap so bought the rather expensive "chin up strips". I have been using these for almost 3 months now.  I am hoping I won't need to use these forever.  Have any of you that are (or were) mouth breathers been able to train yourself NOT to breathe through your mouth when you sleep? Thanks.

I've heard of yoga and meditation classes being helpful to teach us how to breathe properly. you'd of course want to enroll in a course that focuses on breathing techniques.
