Respironics has two total face masks, has anyone had any experience with them?  One is callled Respironics FitLife total face mask and the other just Respironics total Face Mask.  The total face mask is a one size fits all and the fitLife comes in large and small.  I have my DME  looking for them. I have just had to face the fact that the pressure on my nose from any mask that rests on the bridge of my nose is going to cause problems.  It seems that with either of these masks, and I tend toward the FitLife mask because of the sizing, pretty much means sleeping on you back.  I'm a side sleeper, but think I can adjust if it saves my nose.

So again, anyone have experience with either of these masks?

Thanks,

Mary Z.

On cpaptalk there have been a few that have tried the Total Face Mask and haven't liked it due to the one size fits all, it tends to leak since facial features vary so widely. I have heard that it is okay if the patient is in a hospital setting and is unconscious.

I haven't tried either mask and am hoping you will post your own review of which ever mask you choose.
I have a patient on the Fit Life. Seems to have a very good seal. He was switched to that because he had lost a lot of weight and his face was more sunken in. It is a well made mask and seems comfortable. The Total Face is not as nicely made. You will just have to get used to having air blow on your whole face instead of just your nose.

Hope that helps! Melinda
I have one patient who I put of a Fitlife for the same reason as you and she likes it. I have also used a sleepwaever cloth mask for someone in your situation and that fixed his issue. You might want to look at the cloth mask and see if that works for you.
