I was told by my doctor that my tongue size and placement when i sleep might be causing my snoring and nasal pain, but when I've tried all their methods to correct my tongue placement, I either get an extreme lisp or feel like I'm choking. I have had orthodontic procedures done to widen my uper palette as it used to be narrower than my lower jaw, so I never suspected my lower jaw to be too small. I have a tongue thrust, and my tongue always seems to be blocking my throat. Could my tongue be too big or am I completely missing the mark?

Have you had a sleep study done and do you have sleep apnea?

Is your tongue scalloped looking? I have read that a too large tongue can cause sleep apnea.
sleepycarol is on the mark here, you need a sleep study. Tongues can be too big, but that is usually only part of the problem. I see from your profile you have CPAP. Are you using it regularly and is it helpful?
"I've tried all their methods to correct my tongue placement"

And which methods were those?
