My wife is just starting up with CPAP and I'm proud of her attitude and willingness to give it a try despite all her misgivings about putting this foreign object on her face. She reported to me feeling her throat closing when she first puts on the machine. Just anxiety is my guess, since it seems to go away and the mechanics of CPAP should do just the opposite -- open up the airway.

If anyone else has experienced this though, please let me know.
