Well, I guess it wasn't terrible, but it was aggravating.

First off the tech gives me a remote and says here's the remote for your TV.  Five minutes later she was back and needed my remote for another patient- they only have one remote for a six patient sleep lab.  I was left with RAW coming on, not conducive to sleep.  When I asked for the remote back she got real pissy.  All I wanted to do was turn off the TV.  There were no manual controls at all on the TV.  Then the room was freezing- no climate control.  I couldn't sit up in a chair without a blanket around me.  Now they were supposed to help me with fitting of my mask, I put it on and she said, oh, that's much too tight and readjusted it. She filled the water reservoir with water from the tap (no harm to me I know) and lights out.  No sooner than I get to sleep and she's in there fiddling with the mask trying to stop all the leaks.  She never got it adjusted.  Leak for the night (I looked at the  machine numbers that morning)- was 0.9. Admittedly I sometimes do worse, but I can also get it adjusted and have a leak of 0.0.  All silly simple things- a tech who wouldn't let me fit my mask myself and then intervene if there were problems.  Not enough TV remotes to go around, no climate control and a tech who wouldn't listen to me about the mask.

I did the MSLT the next day.  Boy is that a hard test.  I kept falling asleep reading the book while waiting for the next test, I think all together there were six naps with 1 1/2 or 2 hours in between, freezing in the chair.  I think I slept most of the time during the naps until the last nap where I may have drifted off for a minute or two.

The major stuff seemed ok, the tech got me wired up pretty quickly and seemed to do it right, though the next morning the MSLT tech was confused about the wiring and there was doubt about the accuracy of the results. That made me wonder.

Oh, well, I see the doctor the 15th of June when I'll find out the results.
