Looks like you can get very sick from doing a nasal rinse with tap water: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/local&id=6046064

I use a nasal rinse myself to help with my CPAP treatment, as do many of you.

This doesnt sound like much fun
Well crap. I mean nasal rinse I've done, but what about the water up the nose from our cpap humidifiers? I'd think you could get it from that too then. In the comments someone said that this TB-esque germ could even be in distilled or boiled water. Not sure how that's possible though.

Problem is though that they also said that they're not 100% sure this germ was from the tap water as the water wasn't tested.

I'm still going to use my humidifier and neti pot though. Hopefully they'll do more research and we can find out more.
