Swelling under eyes and air leaks
I wear a full face Mirage Quattro size medium mask that I have wrestled with for a while trying to prevent leaks. At a pressure of 15 I have the leaks under control, but the cost is marks on my face most mornings. For the past six weeks some days I have swelling under my eyes right beside where the mask is during the night and about an inch under my lower lids. Today even my eyelids are swollen. Now admittedly I ate too much salty food yesterday which is probably why my eyelids are swollen.
Does anyone else get puffiness under their eyes after a night with the mask?
Also, my air leaks are mainly on exhalation. I am hoping a BiPAP machine will help with those leaks (if insurance approves the new machine). Any ideas on that?

Talk to your PCP. You may need anothery type mask. Also u need to be careful of air leaks around eyes. Nasty eye infection could happen.

Thanks, D.W., I'll be especially careful of this. Another mask may well be the thing. Don't need an eye infection.

I get back-spray of air from my Mirage SwiftI nasal pillow mask, but I keep a fan on low towards me all night, wearing the chinstrap & mask, my face gets hot. I use tears/eyedrops all across my eyelashes before I ever open my eyes, bingo. They
do get dried shut even, but I wake refreshed so live with it.
