Where is it possible to just get the soft plastic insert that actually develops the leak. I wear the kind that fits over my whole nose. I also have 2 machines. They force me to buy the whole kit at a price of around 160 when all I really need is the 5 dollar insert. My insurance is good and pays for 1 set but both masks leak and what's the point of 2 machines if you have to carry the mask around with you. I get supplies every 3 months so I can rotate the hose and hard wear , but I need two of the cones and they only sell the whole set claiming that's the way they buy them. Are there any ways of getting around this ?

so that I'm clear, you're asking whether you can buy separately CPAP mask nasal cushions that fit into the frame of the mask so that you don't have to buy the entire mask (frame + cushion)? if that's the question, then the answer is yes, absolutely. you can buy the cushion for ~$25 at any of the online vendors.
Thanks Mike, and you are clear on the subject. One more question, who would you suggest as a reputable online vendor as I have no experience in dealing with them?

the guys over at http://www.bestcpapprice.com/ seem to give discounts to SleepGuide folks if you mentioned that you heard about them on this site (at least that's what the owner who is a member here had posted a couple of weeks ago). i see that they have mask cushions. you might give them a try; they seem ok. i lot of people like cpap.com, also. i don't want to appear biased one way or another because i'm not, so perhaps some other folks can give you suggestions as well. . .

eBay and cpapauction often have the cushions at reasonable prices. Just check feedback prior to bidding and prices on line so you know the cost savings, if any prior to bidding.
