I have been a cpap user for nearly 4 years and for the past 2yrsI have a mask that has been the best out of the lot. However I still wake during the night. I have to say that I usually don't feel particularly tired but I am bothered that I keep waking up with all the talk about getting 6-8 hours of sleep and risk of heart attacks.

My sleep doc said, remember you have something on your face, it is not unusual to wake up and go back to sleep.

Anyone have the same problem/concern?

I think you should try a different mask. What types of masks have you tried and what type are you using now?
Sometimes the constant arousals from untreated apnea can become a learned reaction after therapy begins. I would try not to worry about it. Go back to sleep when you can. As long as you are getting refreshing sleep and are not symptomatic I would not worry to much.
What brand and model CPAP do you have? Is it fully data capable? Have you ever seen a printout of the downloaded data? That might ease your mind. If your CPAP isn't fully data capable and you've had it for 4 years a year from now you just might be able to get a new one - and when and if you do do NOT accept anything less than a fully data capable CPAP. Just being able to check that data in the morning now and then can really ease your mind. Or - if there is a therapy reason WHY you still wake the data might well tell you AND your doctor why.
