I'm a geek at heart, and love this kind of stuff. Check out the new blood pressure monitoring device being developed at MIT:
MIT's press release suggests that the technology behind this may be used to help sleep apnea patients as well: "Such devices could be used to keep tabs on hypertension as well as sleep apnea . . ." (excerpted from
MIT monitoring device press release)
I wonder what data about sleep apnea they could extract with such a monitoring device worn around the finger, and how would the information be used: sleep stage info; arousals; apneas?
