Hello All ~

Recently the new doctor that I am seeing suggested that I practice meditation as I am going to sleep to help with my problem of extreme alpha intrusion.  Although there's probably no way to scientifically calibrate the effects of meditation at night, I think meditation is good at anytime plus this doctor is really trying to help me and he has recommended meditation at night very highly so I am following his suggestion. . . . Thought I would pass it along for others who might find it helpful for a good night's sleep.

I can't believe I missed this the first time, Renee.

 

Meditation at night sounds like something I'll try.

Mary, I do meditation as part of my treatment for depression, I go to an outpatient course each Satyrday morning for 3 hours and then I practise it each day via CD. I don't know if it has helped or not but my depression has lifted, whether that is due to meds, SA treatment, meditation, who knows? Our courses are based on Jon Kabat-Zinn and Russ Harris, you can download some of the meditation files for free and some you can buy. I like a 10 minute yoga meditation that I do as soon as I get up.

When I do it I feel better.......now if I can just stick with it....That is where I falter.
