My brother in law recently died and I was given the cpap he used. Problem, it smells like smoke. To questions, is it safe to use and is there a good way to get the smoke smell out. I saw a post about running it and spraying it with fabrees. Will this get the smell out and will still be breathing in nickateen?
Maybe you, or the equipment repair person can replace the internal insulation. I truthfully don't know what there would be any health risks if you can stand the smell. The febreeze method is the only thing I've heard of (besides switching out the internal insulation) to reduce the odor of smoke. Perhaps check the store shelves for a green, non toxic substitute to febreeze.
