I was looking at the ResMed web pages. The data management pages no longer have the "not available" posting and seems to have been replaced with the " how to buy" link. Is this real or a web master oversight? Has ResMed reconsidered selling to the public? The buying link basically says go see your Insurance provider to see who will pay for it.

This is pretty interesting as the data link hardware (haven't looked at the software) has been increasingly harder to find and more expensive from those dealers who carry it. I'd be inclined to think it was real. Maybe they have decided to make the software available to the many end users who have expressed an interest in it. The software doesn't give you the handshake to access the menu needed to change your settings (though I'm sure many of us know it). You're not gonna stop a geek, even one like me who admittedly doesn't know enough to change my settings and doesn't.
